Occupational Health

The World Health Organization (WHO) defines occupational health as a multidisciplinary activity that promotes and protects the health of workers. This discipline seeks to control accidents and diseases by reducing risk conditions.

Occupational health
care is not limited to physical conditions of the worker, but also addresses the psychological question. For employers, occupational health support is a refinement of the worker and the maintenance of working capacity.

The most common of which must address occupational health are fractures, cuts and sprains by accidents, repetitive motion disorders, problems with vision or hearing and diseases caused by exposure to unsanitary or radioactive substances, for example. It also can handle the stress of work or labor relations.

Note that occupational health is an important issue for governments, which must ensure the welfare of workers and compliance in the workplace. For that often make periodic inspections seek to determine the conditions under which develop different types of work.

It is important to note that job insecurity affects occupational health. A company that has its workers in black (not having health care coverage), and which is inadequate physical space for work-threatening people’s health.

Health, safety, and job security is the protection efforts of labor to keep it healthy and safe while working in the workplace. The workplace is closed or open spaces, moving or still, or often entered labor for business purposes and where the presence of the sources of danger.
Health within the scope of the health, safety, and job security is not only defined as a state free from disease. According to the Basic Law No. RI Health. 9 In 1960, Chapter I Article 2, good health condition is defined as the perfection of physical, spiritual, and social.
health which aims to attain a degree of community health workers as high, whether physical, spiritual, and social, with prevention and treatment of diseases or health problems caused by work and working environment as well as common illnesses.
Workplace safety can be defined as a state protected from danger while doing the job. In other words, work safety is one factor brothers to do during the work. No one in this world who want to cause accidents. Work safety depends. On the type, shape, and the environment in which the work was carried out.
Accidents can be grouped into accidents caused by:
1. Machine
2. Transport
3. Other work equipment
4. Chemicals
5. Work environment
6. Other causes

electromagnetic radiationThe easiest and most commonly used to produce microwave radiation, is one who is to pass through the high frequency currents. It was the method used by Hertz in his famous experiments and the method is still used today in all transmitters.

In the minds of many technicians, radiation and high frequency power became synonymous. However, this view is not permissible and the thing seems obvious to some one wants to think it over.

The current high frequency radiation is no longer a current phone is a sound vibration. To move from one state to another, you must use a power transformer which is in the first case, a radiator or wave transmitting antenna, and in the second case, a loudspeaker.

An electrical circuit may be the site of a current high-frequency intense without any trace of radiation. It is therefore interesting to try to understand how we can move from a current high-frequency energy radiated.

Health and Safety in the WorkplaceThe occurrence of cases of accidents in the workplace is not a secret anymore. It thus can happen anytime and anywhere because of the limited job security facility. It also can occur because of lack of understanding of the principle factors that need to be applied in the problem companies. Philosophy of occupational safety and health in view of each employee has a right to protection of a comfortable working life is not fully understood either by the management and employees. Because it is necessary to invest the soul that occupational safety and health is a form of employee needs.
Every effort is related to occupational safety and health will be successfully implemented only if both parties are companies and employees make synergistic cooperation and harmony. Each actor must be determined and disciplined minimize the occurrence of occupational accidents. Companies need to have goals minimize accidents incidents to zero. Benefits to the interests of employees in the form of occupational safety and health of the maximum and so did the maximum profit of the company.

Therefore, companies should:
(1) comply with applicable safety and health issued by the government by complying with the principles,
(2) making procedures and manuals on how to deal with safety,
(3) providing training and disseminating information on the employee’s work safety,
(4) provides an optimum work safety,
(5) responsible for the safety of employees working,

Every company has a strategy naturally reduce and even eliminate the incidence of work accidents among employees in accordance with the conditions of the company.

The main strategies companies need to be applied include:
a. The management needs to determine which form of protection for employees in dealing with accidents happened. For example because of financial reasons, the employee awareness of workplace safety and corporate responsibility and the employee then the company may have a minimum level of protection that even the maximum.
b. The management can determine whether the rules on workplace safety is formal or informal. Formally, each rule is intended in writing, executed and controlled in accordance with the rules. While the stated informally or unwritten conventions and carried through training and agreements.

The management needs to be proactive and reactive in the development of procedures and plans on occupational safety and health of employees. Proactive management means the continuous need to improve procedures and plans according to the needs of employers and employees. While the reactive sense, the management need to address safety and health problems after an incident arises. The management can use the degree of safety and health is low as promotion factors into broad audience. This means that the company considered to be very concerned with occupational safety and health.
